A Day at Snoqualmie Falls

We spent a day at the falls over the weekend. We took the trail all the way down to the shore, which none of us had done before. It's quite a steep grade, but it was worth it. Dane got a little adventurous and ended up falling into the river. All wasn't lost though, as he was the only one who managed to stay cool on the trek back up the hill!

The Great Breadown 2008

Ok, I know there is another breakdown going on...the financial breakdown...but in my little corner of the world it's been an electronics breakdown. It started last month with the death of two work vacuums in the same night. That was promptly followed up by our computer crashing twice within the matter of two weeks. The next to go was our fridge, followed by our computer monitor. I have no idea what is going on with our electrical friends...but they are obviously on some kind of strike!!!

Fun at the Fair

The fair came and went in a flash this year. We had a great time on the rides and got our fill of scones and peroshkiy's...our favorite Russian treat!

I love Craig's List!

I had a gas lawn mower to get rid of since we recently bought an electric one. I put it on Craig's List this morning at 10:00am. By 2:00pm it was gone! Now that's how to do business...LOL. :)

Back to School

Well the kids are officially back to school. They had their first day yesterday. They both like their teachers and were able to catch up with some of their old friends from last year. I always find myself a bit lonely the first few days however. The house seems so quiet! I am keeping busy with office work and projects. I just got our spare room/art room/workout room (whew)finished. Well I still need to paint, but haven't chosen a color yet. We also finished re-organizing the garage. That was quite the doozey! We had two full van loads to take to the dump...yikes! We had a really good summer even though we were not able to take our yearly trip to the cabin. :( We ran into some employee issues and weren't able to get away. We are hoping to go this winter and try our hand at the slopes!

The deck is complete!

This took us forever due to the last half of August deciding to disguise itself as fall! We had to wait between coats for the wood to dry out from all the rain...blah. Anyway, it is done and it looks FABULOUS! (well at least I think it does and that's all that matters...LOL)
FYI- this is taken from my phone since my camera is on the fritz... :(
